Sample Pre and post stay Itinerary
DAY 1 Pre Excursion- Rome
Arrive in Rome and check into your hotel after the long flight. Walk around the neighborhood and enjoy some of the local cuisine. See some of the local sights and enjoy a nice dinner. Get a great nights sleep for the big day tomorrow.
DAY 2 Pre Excursion-Rome
Join one of the Skip the Line Tours to see the Colosseum, Vatican City, Sistine Chapel, and more. Take the Hop On Hop Off bus to see the city. These are great ways to get aquainted with Rome.
DAY 1 Post Escorted Trip- Florence
Now that you spent two days in Rome and completed the 5 or 9 day escorted excursion, you are ready to spend a few more days relaxing and experiencing new things. Florence is the Gateway to Tuscany and is a city full of art and history. Spend the day getting to know this city and what she has to offer.
DAY 2 Post Excursion- Luca
Take the train from Florence to Luca and take in the wonders of this medieval fortress city. Take a stroll along the wall of the city and soak in the views. Luca is a lovely Tuscan city and should be on your "to visit" list.
Day 3 Post Excursion- Fiumincino
This is the last full day in Italy before heading home. Fiumincino is where the airport for Rome is located. We like to stay at and we put our clients up at the Hotel Tiber. The hotel is located at the mouth of the Tiber river. There are great views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and you can watch the fishing boats come in with their fresh catches. This area of Fiumincino is a great place to say goodbye to Italy.
