Place your $500 deposit and reserve your spot for this amazing partially escorted culinary tour. You will have plenty of time on this tour to explore and go at your own pace as well as join in with our very small group of no more than 16 adults. This is an adult only tour, and you must be at least 21 years old to book the spot. The Euro (€) fluctuates against the USD ($). It is currently at $1.09 to €1.00.
The level of accommodation, extra amenities, extra services, and other expenses will determine the final price. Our pricing (what we charge you directly) includes the vineyard tasting fees, lunches at some of the vineyards, guides we use at various medieval towns, and private tour bus transport during the escorted part of the tour. This starts at €1500 per person and can vary. There is zero markup on our part of the tour, so we require you to book your accommodation through us. The current level of accommodation runs from premium to luxury (4 to 5 star) and prices start at €240 per night and go up to €700 per night. These prices usually include breakfast. We have blocked out rooms with several providers to insure space and lock in the best pricing. Airport and other transfers cost between €70 to €100 depending on destination. These fees are paid directly to the driver. We have the hotel concierge arrange transfer for you. You are responsible for the cost of all meals not included. October 2025: Escorted Culinary Experience
Itinerary Oct 28, 2025 to Nov 11th 2025
Day 1- Arrive in Rome from your overnight flight. A driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Rome. You are free to roam around the city for the evening or sleep off the jet lag. This is unescorted.
Day 2- Rome on your own. We recommend taking the Hop on Hop Off bus and touring the city at your leisure. We will give you a list of restaurants we recommend. This is unescorted.
Day 3- A driver will take you to the train station (Roma Termini) where you will be met by the tour leaders and begin the culinary part of the trip to Pienza. This is partially escorted. This is a 3+ hour day.
Day 4- We will travel by tour bus to an interesting farm experience. There you will enjoy a cooking class (it really is a lot of fun), sip wine, taste fresh olive oil, tour the farm, and make new friends. Afterwards, we will head to a local medieval city and meet our guide. This is fully escorted. This is a 10+ hour day.
Day 5- We will travel by bus to a stunning vineyard in Montepulciano. The views alone are worth the entire journey. We will sip vino and enjoy “degustazione”, which is some local fare that is paired with the wine. Afterwards, we will head to a local medieval city and meet our guide. This is guided and escorted. This is an 8+ hour day.
Day 6- Today you are free to do what you like. We recommend and can help arrange transport to the train station for a train ride to Bologna or Perugia. This is unescorted.
Day 7- We will travel by tour bus to two cool vineyards and sample their fares. This part of the trip is on narrow bumpy roads, but the vineyards are worth the tip. This is fully escorted. This is an 8+ hour day.
Day 8- We will board the tour bus and head to a medieval city (Orvieto) and meet our guide. Today is a semi-free day. The tour guide will show you the highlights of the town and you are free to sample the fares. We have recommended restaurants for this town too. This is guided and partially escorted. This is a 10+ hour day.
Day 8- We will travel by tour bus to two amazing vineyards and sample wines that are unique to the region (Montefalco). You will experience a tour of a vineyard as well as an olive grove. You will get to see how olive oil is made and get to taste the new oil. Afterwards, we will head to a local medieval city and take a stroll through the city center. This is fully escorted. This is a 10+ hour day.
Day 9- We will travel by tour bus to the Tuscany coast where you can enjoy fresh seafood (fruti di mari) or other delicacies. You will be free to roam around the town, enjoy the ocean views, and relax. This is partially escorted. This is an 8+ hour day.
Day 10- We will travel by tour bus to a local medieval city (Spello) and meet the guide. You will be free to roam the city and enjoy the fares. This is guided and partially escorted. This is an 8+ hour day.
Day 11- This is the final day of the escorted culinary tour. We will travel by tour bus to two iconic vineyards. We will have a tasting at the first one before heading to our favorite vineyard on the tour. There you will enjoy a tour of the vineyard and one of the best spreads of food. We cap the day off with a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. This is escorted. This is a 10+ hour day.
Day 12- We will get you to the train station where you will take the train to Florence where a driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel. You are free to explore the town on your own.
Day 13- A driver will take you to the train station where you will board the high-speed train to Rome. A driver will pick you up at the train station in Rome and take you to your hotel in Fiumicino. This is your last night in Italy.
Day 14- Board your flight and head back home.
